- December 17, 2004, Cleveland City Planning Commission adopted “Connecting
Cleveland: The Waterfront District Plan”
- The Lakefront West Project was initiated as a result of the Waterfront
District Plan.
- Plan calls for the removal of the limited access West Shoreway,
replacing it with a calmer, pedestrian friendly facility that will allow
the neighborhood connection to the lakefront
